3. Lucas Matthysse vs. John Molina Jr.

Lucas Matthysse waged war with John Molina on April 26, 2014, in a bout that would go on to win the Muhammad Ali-Joe Frazier Fight of The Year award.

From the opening bell, both men came out looking for the knockout. In the early going, Molina seemed to be unfazed by Matthysse’s power, and was able to drop the Argentinian in the second and fifth round.

Matthysse kept his composure and took over in the later rounds by flooring Molina in the eighth and 10th. The battle ended 22 seconds into the 11th round when Matthysse dropped Molina with another heavy shot and referee Pat Russell stepped in and called a halt to the action.
